Daily Activities
The activities offered in the classrooms are designed to develop cooperation, communication and self-control. Dramatic play, free choice time, music and art encourage positive social skills and self-expression. Children are encouraged to make choices and solve their own social conflict. They are taught to use words appropriately and to develop necessary negotiation skills. Consideration of others is encouraged and modeled by the staff. A warm Christian atmosphere is a constant at our school.
At circle time, story-telling and teacher directed activities enhance your child's listening skills, attention span and language development. Following directions and self-control are taught through song, finger play, stories, etc. Pre-math and pre-reading skills are presented and Kinder-readiness is accented at the Pre-K level.

During outside time, children are developing all the appropriate motor skills. It is natural for children to run, climb, jump, spin, etc. and we provide the opportunity to do just that. Physical development is a natural process of outside play. Children learn to understand their abilities and limitations, as well as cause and affect, and spacial awareness by exploring their outdoor play area. Water play, sensory play, easel painting, planting and growing are included in our outdoor play.
